Mechanism
Epidermal growth factor. A polypeptide consisting of 53 amino acids. Binds to EGF receptor (EGFR) → Tyrosine kinase activation → Activates cell proliferation signal cascade (Ras/MAPK pathway). Nobel Prize-winning ingredient (1986, Dr. Stanley Cohen)

Turnover improvement: 4-6 weeks
Cautions
Extremely limited transdermal absorption due to large molecular weight (6,045 Da). Quality varies between recombinant (gene recombination) and chemical synthesis methods. Name was changed from 'Human Oligopeptide-1' in Japan due to safety concerns (risk of excessive cell proliferation)
